Caroline van den Borst has been running her own company since 1997. She’s been focused on a niche in the publishing business, differentiating herself from her competitors with extra care for quality in both format and content. She found that same care at Amdax, particularly in the sense of security and service she felt. She became a customer at the start of 2021: “The main thing that I appreciate about Amdax, is that they share so much knowledge. I made my first steps into the crypto domain all by myself. Those steps weren’t easy, because it’s a very foreign world to me. At Amdax, I feel that I’m free to ask any questions that I might have, and I always receive a fitting and friendly reply.”

Freedom money 

“Since I bought my first bitcoin in 2017, I’ve been fully convinced that this market has a bright future, that this is the way to move forward. I believe in the freedom that underlies the crypto domain. Bitcoin is freedom money. Everyone, everywhere, can get some, whether you live on the streets or in a palace. Money and power are being separated, which is an honest premise that really appeals to me. Both as a human and as an entrepreneur I want to be able to go where I please, without someone else deciding for me

“When I started out, I took some classes to get to understand the underlying principles. I started following people on Twitter who were active in the domain, which is where I ran into Amdax. What I like about them is that they not only promise security in trading and storage, but they also explain how they achieve that. Because of that, I feel like I’m being taken serious as a customer, which makes it more of a reciprocal relationship. For example, I took part in a customer panel to evaluate the development of the Amdax app. I understand that for some customers it’s great to do everything from your phone, but I’m not very comfortable with mobile apps. I feel more safe at home, behind my PC, and I love that they listened to that feedback as well.”

A maturing space

“My investment goal is clear: I want to accumulate as much bitcoin as I can. I’ve made good returns, not only in bitcoin but in other cryptocurrencies as well. I’m not too concerned about the current bear market. I simply sit tight, and wait for this whole thing to blow over. It’s a new space that still has to mature, we don’t need to debate that anymore. Amdax has a serious and mature position about that as well. I think they should put that out into the media a bit more, as a counter to all the noise that’s still out there. On the other hand, the company has grown massively, and their level of quality needs to be assured for their new customers as well. I’d say it’s better to take it a bit too slowly than too quickly.”
